Mood scale levels
Andy uses a five-point mood scale so check-ins stay fast and review stays consistent. Think about the last few hours, then pick the closest level.
Focus on recent hours
Rate how the recent part of your day felt. Avoid trying to summarize an entire month in one tap.
Consistency beats precision
Use the same personal interpretation over time. Trend consistency helps more than trying to find a perfect scientific label each day.
Use notes only when helpful
If a day needs context, add one short note. If not, mood-only entries are still useful.
If you are unsure between two levels, choose the closest one and continue. Small uncertainty is normal and still useful for trend review.
Frequently asked questions
Can I skip notes and only choose a mood level?
Yes. Mood-only check-ins are fully valid and still support chart review.
Should I re-log old days if I changed my scale interpretation?
Usually no. Continue with your updated interpretation and keep logging forward.
