Apple Health

Connect Apple Health and see your sleep, steps, exercise, daylight, resting heart rate and heart rate variability next to the mood you logged. Andy reads it on your phone and never uploads it.

Connect in Settings and pick which categories to allow. From then on the insights screen can show each one against your mood for the same days.

1)What Andy reads

Sleep duration, step count, exercise minutes, time in daylight, resting heart rate and heart rate variability. Andy can also import Apple's own State of Mind entries as Andy logs, without overwriting anything you logged yourself.

Each category is a separate permission. You can allow sleep and steps and leave heart rate off, and change your mind later in the Health app. Apple Health permissions are managed by iOS, so Andy only ever sees what you have allowed there.

2)What the charts show

The insights screen lines up a health category with your mood for the same days, so you can see whether short nights or low-step days sit next to your lower moods. It shows your own weeks and nothing more. A few weeks of entries make the picture clearer than a few days.

3)Where the data stays

Health data is read on the phone and used to draw the charts there. It is not sent to Andy's servers and it is not in your therapy report. You can disconnect at any time in Settings or in the Health app.

Free and Pro

Connecting Apple Health and importing State of Mind entries is free. The correlation charts that put health data next to your mood are part of Pro.

Apple Health is available on iPhone. On Android, Andy works without it.
